"Monte Zuzzu met all our expectations and more! I wanted to stay in an historical trullo in a quiet area and that is exactly what it was. Nicla and Rudy are wonderful hosts. They offered directions, drew a map, and directed us when we needed help. Rudy graciously offered us a plate of "prickly pear" when we arrived. It was quite a delicious specialty.
The trullo is beautiful with lovely views. The rooms and grounds are very well kept. The location is perfect for seeing all of Puglia with its miles of ancient olive trees, wonderful stone walls, and hundreds of historical trulli. Locorotundo and Lecce were our favorite places. Nothing is further away than a day's drive round trip. The local people were friendly and helpful and we found food markets with delicious offerings. We cooked in the larger kitchen many nights. All in all, Puglia and Monte Zuzzo are a delightful place to vacation. "
